ATTENTION: STUDENTS RESIDING IN DISTRICT 8 (Counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, or Prince William OR the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas or Manassas Park)

The Code of Virginia (ยง 22.1-205) requires students and their parents living in Planning District 8 which includes the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William, and the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park, to participate in a 90-minute parent/teen presentation.  This presentation has been added to District 8 classroom driver education courses.

If you live in District 8 and you took classroom driver education in-person, you are NOT eligible to take this online 90 Minute Parent Teen Program.  In addition, if you took the classroom driver education online course THROUGH A COMMERICIAL DRIVER TRAINING SCHOOL, you are also not eligible to participate in this program.

The accountability for the implementation, delivery, and documentation of successful completion of this legislative requirement rests with your classroom driver education teacher.  Consequently, it is the responsibility of the classroom teacher to hold at least two high-quality, meaningful parent/teen presentations at a time convenient for parents. Teachers are also encouraged to make provisions for additional sessions when warranted.
